Undertaking fire related activites outside of the Fire Danger Season can be a threat to environmental protection, air quality, amenity and health. Your local council regulates this kind of nuisance burning, subject to EPA policy and other legislation/regulation.

There are 15 Fire Ban districts in South Australia. Each district can have different Fire Danger Season dates. Total Fire Bans are also declared for each district.
